No Collusion: Rosenstein Indicts 12 Russians for Hacking, No Americans Involved

Special counsel Robert Mueller has indicted a dozen Russian intelligence officers in his probe into the Kremlin's meddling in the 2016 presidential election, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced Friday.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who announced the indictments, said the Russians involved belonged to the military intelligence service GRU.

He said: "The indictment charges 12 Russian military officers by name with conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential election".

Mueller charged that the objective of the conspiracy was "to hack into the computers of USA persons and entities involved in the 2016 US presidential election, steal documents from those computers, and stage the release of the stolen documents to interfere with the 2016 USA presidential election".

'The Internet allows foreign adversaries to attack America in new and unexpected ways, ' Rosenstein said.

The indictment alleges that "organization 1" released more than "20,000 emails and other documents stolen from the DNC network by the Conspirators" on or about July 22, 2016, just before the start of the Democratic National Convention.

"The goal of the conspiracy was to have an impact on the election", Rosenstein said.

But with Mueller still investigating, it's not known whether further indictments are taking shape or will.

The indicted Russians, officials in Unit 26165 and Unit 74455 of Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate, are Viktor Borisovich Netyksho, Boris Alekseyevich Antonov, Dmitriy Sergeyevich Badin, Ivan Sergeyevich Yermakov, Aleksey Viktorovich Lukashev, Sergey Aleksandrovich Morgachev, Nikolay Yuryevich Kozachek, Pavel Vyacheslavovich Yershov, Artem Andreyevich Malyshev, Aleksandr Vladimirovich Osadchuk, Aleksey Aleksandrovich Potemkin, and Anatoliy Sergeyevich Kovalev.

Rockets point guard Chris Paul has been "advocating" the club add Anthony according to Yahoo's Jordan Schultz . Mbah a Moute, who had a one-year deal worth $2.1 million last season, turns 32 in September.

But he simultaneously denounced the Mueller investigation as a "rigged witch hunt", and said he has been "tougher on Russian Federation than anybody".

While no American is charged in today's indictment, there is nothing in it about precluding any eventual charges against a United States citizen.

Meredith Kelly, a spokeswoman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said in a statement that the "DCCC was the victim of a cybersecurity intrusion during the 2016 election cycle, and this indictment relates to that incident".

In February, Mueller charged 13 Russians and three Russian companies in an elaborate conspiracy to interfere in the election.

If the involvement of the GRU officers in the hacking effort is proved, it will shatter the Kremlin denials of the Russian state's involvement in the U.S. elections.

The indictment also appears to allude to Florida political operative Aaron Nevins, who reached out to Guccifer and asked for "any Florida based information", according to a Wall Street Journal report past year.

To reach a wider audience, Russian officers transferred stolen materials to "Organization 1", a likely reference to WikiLeaks.

"One unit engaged by stealing information, a different unit by disseminating the information", Rosenstein said.
