LeBron James' free agency plans questioned after loss to Indiana Pacers

Down 1-0 going into Game 2 of their playoff series against the Pacers, Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue and LeBron James are focused on one tactic to even the series - be aggressive.

I alluded to it previously with the quick recap of the Cleveland Cavaliers embarrassing Game 1 loss to the Indiana Pacers, but the Cavs need to revamp their starting lineup.

James had a triple-double against the Pacers in a 98-80 game-one home loss Monday (AEST), but the 33-year-old went 10 minutes at the start of the game before taking his first shot and by then in led 25-8. The Cavs made only 8 of their 34 three-point attempts. This is the least talented team LeBron has played on since the first time he was on the Cavs.

"Stay calm, stay composed, play the game I have all year long", Oladipo said of the key to his overwhelming day. But I think just mixing it up even when he's not in the game, getting in the post a little bit more, getting offensive rebounds, getting more touches in there, not even to shoot it in some cases, but just to feel the ball down there and guys to maybe get different looks in two-man game or in second-side action.

Led by Victor Oladipo's 32-point, tough-shot-after-tough-shot performance, IN outplayed, outhustled and outlasted Cleveland, giving the Pacers a 4-1 record this season against the three-time defending conference champions.

James admitted the revamped Cavaliers were surprised by the Pacers' explosive offence, but they would chalk it up as a lesson learnt ahead of Game 2 in Cleveland on Wednesday. "There's some things that we can improve on that I was looking at in the film". Sooner than later, we are going to find out. "I thought he made good decisions out there on the floor", IN coach Nate McMillan said of his star guard.

The second half started out with a 6-0 IN run extending their lead to a game-high 23 points.

But while he knows the narrative before Wednesday's Game 2 will be on the struggles of Cleveland's playoff newcomers, James isn't anxious.

The Cavs' playoff theme is: "Whatever It Takes". "So we take it as everybody has to dig deep and not lose two of them on our home floor". IN is fully aware and is immediately focused on Game Two. Oladipo played like a man possessed as he put up 32 points. That said, he has to make sure his teammates know what to do as well.

The Pacers have been running hot for a while now and they really came out firing in a big statement win in Game 1. However, he got off to a slow start and did not take his first shot until 1:52 remianed in the first quarter. Chris Paul added two free throws after that for Houston, but a tip-in by Karl-Anthony Towns got Minnesota back within 3. This contributed to them scoring 38 points in the paint on 18 fastbreak points.

The top-seeded Rockets had their hands full with the No. 8 Timberwolves on a night where Houston made just 10 of 37 3-pointers.
