Will Ferrell hospitalised following auto accident

Actor Will Ferrell was released from a hospital Friday morning after he was in a vehicle accident the night before in Southern California, his spokesperson told TMZ. Ferrell, 50, was travelling to Los Angeles, along with three other persons, after attending an event in San Diego. An eyewitness told TMZ that a female passenger in the SUV with Ferrell was also injured and appeared to be bleeding profusely.

One different clip, posted by LA-OC.tv, reveals him talking on a mobile phone as he sits on a stretcher, with firefighters loading him into an ambulance.

The comedian "did not suffer any significant injury", has since been released from the hospital "and is doing well", as his representative tells TMZ.

A request for information from Ferrell's manager was not immediately returned. Barrow was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered the most serious injuries, according to CHP Officer Rafael Reynoso.
